Fantastic skiing in beautiful surroundings. Zermatt is possibly one of the best places in Europe for a wintersports holiday. With its wonderful, alpine charm, its extensive and varied ski area and its fabulous setting there is something for everyone. The village is traffic-free and reached by a mountain railway from Tasch. It was a traditional mountain village, attracting visitors, long before it became a premier ski resort.
Zermatt is an extremely popular summer destination. The scenery and views are as stunning in summer as in winter, and the traditional appeal of the village wins over many visitors.
