<p>Bansko is less well known by foreign tourists than Borovets and Pamporovo,
but has always been popular with Bulgarians. It is Bulgaria's newest ski resort
- with a modern lift system that is improving every year. The town itself dates
back to the 9th century. Modern convenience and old world charm combine to provide
a great ski experience.</p>
