Chalet Chu Lo Dou

Renovated to an extremely high standard, this is a beautiful property to spend a week exploring the legendary Three Valleys ski area. 

Tucked away from the main street, this splendid chalet is in the heart of the picturesque ski village of Courchevel Le Praz, just a few metres from the chic restaurants and bars for which Le Praz is renowned.

A short, easy walk of around 300m takes you to the efficient Le Praz lifts from which you can access the Three Valleys. 

 

Chalet Chu Lo Dou (pronounced “Shoolo Doo”) takes its name from the iconic 1970s hotel in Courchevel Le Praz. 

Deep, turquoise sofas and armchairs sit under the impressive, stripped back wooden beams and are focused around the fireplace and TV. This spacious chalet has plenty of other corner seats in which to read quietly or simple gaze at the pine forests.

This is a self-catered property, which boasts a large, well-equipped kitchen and dining room arranged around original stone walls.

The five bedrooms are all fabulously furnished and each has its own en-suite bathroom facilities. The bunk room is ideal for families with children, sleeping four in two sets of sturdy wooden bunks.

In the mornings, the ski lifts are just 300m away, and you can easily access Courchevel or La Tania, then head over into Meribel and the Three Valleys.

For apres-ski in Le Praz we have several bars to enjoy a drink after a day on the mountain. The nearby Elephant Bar opens late and is a popular hang out for locals and holidaymakers alike, with live bands, great pizzas and sharing platters. Le Praz has more than its fair share of restaurants, with the Michelin star Azimut being a perennial favourite, likewise the famous Bistrot du Praz. The Peupliers Hotel is another top dining choice, as is the cosy Petite Bergerie.

Included within the chalet is free WiFi, satellite TV, wireless speaker and various classic board games. Bed linen, towels and hairdryers are provided in all our chalets.
