"Exceptional stay in this charming chalet. The cleanliness was impeccable, the chalet well equipped and perfectly located for hikes. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. The hosts were responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend." 05 Jun 23Review sent by email/letter by Debbie and Andrew
"We had an amazing time on the Off Piste Course. You put us at ease as soon as we arrived and the group gelled very quickly.Been able to ski in different places during the week was a first for us. We really enjoyed this part and Pat found us fresh snow every day. He was patient and encouraged us when we needed it. Looking forward to your food Kumari kept us all going, that and guessing what cake it would be for when we got back. We highly recommend the course and definitely improved our Off Piste skills this week. We will be back." 05 Jun 23

"A wonderful stay that exceeded all our expectations. Food was superb, the best we have had on a chalet holiday and we felt looked after the minute we walked through the door. Kumari and Jonny went the extra mile in helping with our hire car rental and even sorted keys out when we were late to arrive. The chalet is spotless and a beautiful place to stay.

"Just returned from a stay over the festive period. We could not fault a thing. We were well looked after and our children accommodated for with revised meals and drinks. We did the torchlit descent on NY’s eve which was magical and made our week. The ski school in Ste Foy worked well and our children went from not being able to ski to doind blues and reds.Thank you for all your hardwork and for making it an unforgettable holiday. "What a week! Great skiing despite reports of lack of snow due to kumari and Jonny's local knowledge. Food was fantastic and being able to have a gin and tonic in the hot tub was the best. The position of the chalet and being able to ski different Resorts was the highlight of the trip. If you get chance to ski to Italy do it... great day out and fabulous restaurant for lunch.Hope to be back next year." 14 May 17

Food, drinks and Kumari's Expresso Martinis were wonderful!
Love the ski safari concept and look forward to doing it all again next year.

"Your chalet has been the perfect place for our first ski holiday with 2 young boys. You made us feel so welcome and relaxed the minute we walked through the door and nothing was too much trouble. The short drive to ski school was no problem and well worth it as the skiing and Ski School was exactly what we were looking for, very family friendly.. very little queuing half term week was the icing on the cake!
Arriving back to the chalet to a roaring fire every day, homemade cakes and then a relax in the hottub whilst the boys played was heaven.
We cannot recommend your hospitality and chalet enough and will be telling all our friends... Just hope you can fit us in again next time!!!
Thank you Jonny and Kumari once again for a truly amazing experience." 03 Sep 16

"Just returned for a 4 day long weekend with a large group who took over the entire chalet - and my first time stay. I ski a lot and have visited many of the large resorts, yet I have to say I was blown away by the overall experience at Johnny and Kumari's wonderful chalet. Fantastic - and they are wonderful hosts. If that weren't enough, being able to ski 4 different resorts in 4 days was wonderful - the variety was a welcome contrast to having to ski the same resort each day. Don't be put off by the idyllic/quiet location - we partied hard (!) each night with fantastic food/wine & song !!! Give it a go - you won't be disappointed - a refreshing change from the large resort/impersonal chalet experience." 31 Mar 14Review sent by email/letter by The Porter's
"We stayed with Kumari and Jonny two weeks ago (Jan 26th-1st Feb) at their chalet in Le loissel. They were very professional, with exemplary culinary skills and presentation. We were never short of anything, free flowing drinks and delicious freshly cooked food. Cake on return in the afternoon, hot tub with fizz served in plastic glasses, made for a relaxing unwind from the day's exertions. Not only that, they catered admirably for someone with coeliac disease, needing a gluten free diet and two vegans, by adapting the menu so the meals were not too dissimilar and everyone felt included. This was so much easier than finding restaurants in rural France to cater for such adaptations - which were few and far between! There was a great choice of skiing all within 15-30mins drive away. Local small resort of Saint Foy was lovely, with a range of powder/blue and red slopes and a nice cafe restaurant with friendly staff, close to the chair lifts. We also visited Les Arcs 2000 and 1800, via Villaroger chairlift, with a lovely bar at the bottom, La Ferme, for a cheeky apres drink, whilst waiting for your mates to turn up!!! Val D'Isere and Tignes only 30mins away, which we all skied. Something for everyone, including two family members visiting from Edmonton , whose favorites were Saint Foy and Tignes. The chalet is in a quiet friendly hamlet, just up the road from Villaroger, with spectacular views across the valley. I imagine Le Loisser is idyllic in summertime, with an old water trough nearby, a welcome stop for hikers no doubt. Thanks for a lovely stay." 18 Feb 14Review sent by email/letter by Mike and Ivor
"We had a fantastic week here. Kumari and Jonny are excellent hosts with a great knowledge of the area meaning they know exactly the best places to ski on any given day. The chalet itself is great and ideal to come back to after a day on the piste with plenty of drinks and a hot tub to unwind. Most of all though the food is absolutely incredible. They were happy to cater to anybody and it was definitely the best food I've ever had on a ski trip. We will definitely be visiting again." 18 Feb 14Review sent by email/letter by Gareth and Julie, Bristol

"Just returned from our 4th visit to Skivillaroger and once again it was fantastic. The welcome, food and skiing really is hard to beat and the reason why we keep going back. "We have just booked our 2nd ski holiday with Skivillaroger. Visited last year and was impressed by the standard of the chalet, the food and the wine, as well as the skiing. Love this concept of skiing different resorts so much I think it would be hard to go back to skiing just one now. You are made to feel at home the minute you walk through the door and Jonny and Kumari ensure everything is top notch. Can't wait to return and do it all again." 23 Aug 13Review sent by email/letter by The Scourfield Family

"Wonderful trip only enhanced by excellent hosting, superb food and a fantastic ski to Italy. We'll be back!" 03 Jun 13Review written in the guestbook by Heather and Mike Hull
"Being seasoned resort skiers, the thought of accessing so many resorts in one week really appealed and we weren't disappointed. You get up, see what the weather is doing where and simply drive to the resort you fancy and purchase a day pass - all are within a c. 30 minute drive.Had we been staying up at Tignes or Val d'Isere on a weekly Paradiski area pass we would not have had this flexibility and probably would not have skied as much as we did. The weather really was filthy at times, but we skied 6 full days and loved it.
The chalet is a beautifully renovated farm house and barn which is both charming and comfortable. The log burner is lit morning and night.
All rooms have en suite bathrooms and are clean and pleasantly furnished, far better than some of the tiny (and manky!) French ski rooms we have endured in the past.
Food is freshly cooked to a high standard and very tasty especially the Asian belly pork with wild rice, ginger beef and lamb shanks - all to die for!
The owners, Jonny and Kumari, really make this place. They are friendly, hands-on and helpful. They scan the daily weather forecasts for each resort by iPad to see where is best to go that day. They have a genuine love of the mountains and local area and clearly want all of their guests to have a great time.
We were a couple amongst three other parties of three people. We immediately felt included; Jonny and Kumari got everyone chatting to each other and we enjoyed the company of our fellow guests, both on and off the piste.
Thankyou again and see you in March as we loved it so Much!" 13 Mar 13

"Having just returned from a holiday at Skivillaroger we are ready to book our next trip back. Most definitely our best chalet experience yet, with nothing been too much trouble and the chalet a beautiful cosy place to stay. The food and wine are of restaurant standard and the fact that all drinks are included, and we mean all drinks was a great bonus. Having a drink brought to you whilst relaxing in the hottub was a highlight! We managed to ski 5 of the resorts suggested by Jonny and Kumari and will definitely be doing the other 2 on our next visit. Their knowledge on lift passes saved us money too. Thankyou once again and cannot wait to come back." 11 Mar 12Review written in the guestbook by Roy Grosschmidt
"Had a fantastic time at Skivillaroger, some of the best food and wine I have tasted in 27yrs of skiing. Kumari gave great advise about ski passes, saved us lots of money. Both Johny & Kumari have great knowledge of the ski area and are excellent hosts. I will be back!! soon!!!!" 11 Mar 12Review written in the guestbook by Sharon Mulloy
"This chalet in Les Arcs has been an amazing find. The village and area is so unspoilt , just what we wanted when we booked our short break in January. The chalet is very homely and you feel relaxed the minute you walk through the door. Jonny and Kumari couldn't do enough for us and the food and wine was some of the best we have ever had on a chalet holiday. Ski-ing in Les Arcs, Paradiski is endless and with other big resorts all close by we had a big choice of places to ski. We really enjoyed our day in Sainte Foy as well as the long run down from Les Arcs 2000 into Villaroger. We have already booked another long weekend skiing with Jonny and Kumari and cannot wait to get back there." 03 Oct 11Review posted online by The Howden's and he Boyes's
"We stayed at Chalet Le Loissel from the 21st to 28th August and had a fantastic week. Having spent many a great week in the winter season at the Chalet it could be argued that there is more to do in the summer time. We visited the lake, the outdoor pool at Bourg, the outdoor pool at Les Arcs, did the high adventure park down the road, went to Val D'Isere, visited Italy and still didn't do all that we wanted to. The chalet is well equipped for a self catering holiday and the hot tub was a great distraction for the kids, giving the adults some well deserved peace and quiet. Will definitely be back in the summer time and hopefully will get a ski trip in before then." 20 Aug 11Review posted online by The Firths, Watsons and Elliots
"This was our second visit to the chalet and we had a great week. The food and wine were excellent and the hot tub soothes your aching muscles. Jonny, Kumari and the girls are fantastic hosts and make your holiday really special. We're already looking forward to our next holiday with them." 20 Aug 11Review posted online by The Weatherill Family
"This short holiday was a late booking, and when I saw the weather forcast for France and all the doom and gloom in the press, I had thought we would have to accept it as a sunny break and not a skiing holiday. How wrong was I! With the expert help of Kumari & Jonny we had three fabulous days skiing. La Plagne the first day, Le Brevier the second and a wonderful long ski over to Italy for a legendary pizza on the third. No lazy excuses for taking it easy, but that wonderful tiredness from a day of outdoor activity. As usual the relaxing atmosphere with fab food and drinks made this a luxury break that we are now adicted to. Thank you." 20 Aug 11Review posted online by Warren Yates
"What can I say that's not been said already? This really is just the best place to be in the Alps.Even with the British press saying "cancel your holiday there is no snow left" we knew better from Kumari's regular posts and updates.
Sure enough we skied great snow every day at several different resorts even skiing up and over to Italy.
Thanks J & K for yet another great stay at what I now consider my second home.

"Just back from a long weekend here and a one word summary is "fantastic". Great chalet, well placed to access St Foy and Les Arcs as well as further afield if you have time. We didn't and that's the only negative! Kumari and Jonny are great hosts. Food and wine excellent, rooms spacious and comfortable and the convenience of having skis and boots supplied to the chalet is a huge plus. Can't fault anything and can't wait to go back!!" 20 Aug 11Review posted online by The Raithatha Family

"We have been holidaying at Chalet Loissel since 2007 returning every year for family ski trips, Boys only trips, Girls only trips. Its just the most fantastic place to escape to.
Kumari and Jonny are just wonderful hosts nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is excellent (even for a fussy eater like my eldest son.)
The choice of ski areas is immense (how many 10yr olds have skied from France to Italy for chocolate pizza on their Birthday).
This chalet the people and the area is one of our favourite places Winter and Summer." 20 Aug 11

"We first stayed at Chalet Le Loissel in Feb 2006 for a family holiday. We had never skied before but had the holiday of a lifetime! Jonny and Kumari are excellent hosts, with great food, great company and great skiing. We came home and booked to come back in the April of the same year and had another fantastic holiday. We have since gone back once or twice every year, including staying over christmas and new year, and even got engaged on the slopes during our stay on new years eve 2009/10! There is no where else we would rather stay and ski!" 20 Aug 11Review posted online by Ian Hancock
"It's the second time I've been skiing at Villaroger and it won't be the last (unless I'm not allowed back!).Quite simply the most welcoming, friendly and hospitable place you could visit. Kumari, Jonny and the girls made us all feel like one big family (even though most of us were). The food was exquisite, the accommodation, second to none and the Hot Tub was the icing on my Christmas Cake
If there was a 6 on the holiday rating, I'd use it.
