Chalet Bartavelle

Chalet Bartavelle has been a family run gourmet catered ski chalet in Meribel for 20 years, run by me, Jerry Mant, but I am sad to announce that season 23/24 was my last in Chalet Bartavelle.  However fear not, this is not the end.  As of season 24/25 I will be running exactly the same level of service but from one of  3 other chalets that can be found here on chalets direct.  Have a look for Chalet Le Houx and Chalet Tarine both sleepsing 8 and also chalet Bleu sleeping 10 on this site or on the website provided. As I operate an owner run service that specialises in the cuisine and service I cannot obviuosly be cooking in all 3 chalets at once, so when I'm booked up in one of these 3 chalets I won't be availalbe in another.  The availability you see on this page, is my availaibity to cook, you then have to check if the week is also available in the chalet of your choice.

Quite simply we are all about spoiling you and making sure you have an amazing holiday. We are owner run and that means its us that look after you, no staff employed, Breakfast is guaranteed :) We want you to feel totally at home here in our lovely chalet and yes other than great service we do aim to give you food to die for, that does not mean we want to overfeed you, we just want you to really feel like you have eaten well sourced and very well thought out and prepared food.

As said the cuisine is something we specialise in, what with the owner being a chef with 25 years of experience having worked in some top London Restaurants before he moved out here.

The catering would include:
Breakfast with hot option every day
Afternoon tea with cakes and cookies every day
Pre dinner drinks and canapes on 5 nights 
3 course dinner with wine on 5 nights
Cleaning on 5 days
Transfer to the main lift area in Meribel and a pick up service again in the afternoon every day. 
If you only actually wanted to go out on one of the nights then for a small fee we would be more than happy to provide a simple reheat meal and desert for you all.

 

Chalet Le Houx- sleeps 8 , x4 ensuite bedrooms , two double and two twin rooms. It is possible to sleep a further single person if with children.. This is a lovely large chalet thats been newly renovated, nice big living/dining area. aged wood throughout, the chalet has a modern feel but still retains chalet charm.

Chalet Tarine- sleeps 8, x2 ensuite double rooms and x2 twin rooms sharing a shower room. Amazing views from this chalet which is very tastfully decorated and again has a nice large living room with lots of soft seating, 

Chalet Bleu, x2 double ensuite rooms x1 double/twim room ensuite x2 twin rooms with their own bathrooms .This chalet has very recently been extended and renovated to a high standard, A huge living dining area with great views up the mountain. If you want space then this is the chalet for you. 

With an owner, who is a professional, ex west-end chef, it surely comes as no surprise that we consider good food to be of the utmost importance to your holiday experience.

Jerry has been a chef for over 20 years, working in Australia, France and some of the best restaurants in London. As Senior Sous Chef, he was part of the management team behind Oxo Tower restaurants and was previously with Harvey Nichols V Floor Restaurants. He emphasises the use of good fresh ingredients, to promote great flavours that complement each other. You can truly look forward to one of his superbly prepared meals.  

Jerry is experienced in catering for all dietary requirements and prides himself on offering delicious imaginative dishes for all his guests, whether it is for children, vegetarians, celiacs, dairy free diets or any other special requirements.
