"Just wow! This place is gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need. The views are to die for and you have two options for looking at them - upstairs on the large authentic alpine balcony or downstairs on the large patio. Great location for hundreds of walks and things to do eg. Outdoor swimming at Lac Montriond or Lake Geneva, climbing Mont Ouzon and the Gorges du diable. There’s a restaurant in the village but we enjoyed the views and the well-equipped kitchen so much that we cooked every night instead (plus there’s a dishwasher!). Thank you Katie!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Charlotte - Jan 2020
"Just one word: go for it!! Katie's place is a little piece of paradise, in a haven of peace... the breathtaking view of the mountains is superb, you can admire it by being comfortably seated in the wooden armchairs decorated with sheep skin, a very stocked welcome basket awaits you, the accommodation is very cozy and romantic, clean... there are no words to describe this place. You have to live it to see it.I had a pleasant time, I felt at home. I didn't want to go home again!
Thank you very much Katie" 28 Nov 24

"Wow! Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Katie's place for our short ski trip and we instantly fell in love. It was just what we'd hoped for.Communication with Katie was very easy and prompt, she was very helpful with recommendations and guidance of getting to and from the property.
The place itself I can only describe as idyllic, you won't want to leave! In fact, purely because we loved sitting in front of the fire, we ended up staying in more often than going out. (Catch 22 in Morzine is a great place for takeaway pizza)
In terms of location, the property has great access to a number of resorts - we hired a car and off Katie's recommendation, Ardent was the most convenient and FREE car park, with a gondola lift to access Portes du Soleil.
Very happy with our stay and will be recommending to friends and family." 28 Nov 24

"Very nice little cottage decorated and tastefully furnished. The view of the surrounding peaks is wonderful. Katie is very friendly and warmly welcomes you. The rental is located next to Morzine, not far from Avoriaz and the Abondance Valley. In short, a good place to discover the region ... and its specialties." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Redmar - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed staying in this wonderful chalet that belongs to the Wild family, which are very friendly and helpful hosts. Everything that we needed was provided for in the chalet, and facilities such as laundry service and grocery shops were nearby. The area is known for the many activities that you can do, and all of those are nearby which is very convenient (think of hiking, downhill or enduro MTB, (trail) running, cycling, paragliding, et cetera). Many restaurants with stunning views are around, but you can also create your own (nearly) Michelin-rated dinner and enjoy the view you have from the terrace or balcony!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Eléonore - Feb 2021
"We had a great time at Katie's place. The cottage is a peaceful oasis. It is conveniently located close to ski resorts in a very quiet village. The view from the deck is just beautiful. The layout is perfect; we spent one week there without ever running out of space (ski equipment included). Special mention to the stove that warmed us up every night!
Katie's small touches are adorable: chocolates, wine, cheeses. We will remember this stay for a long time." 28 Nov 24

"The view is magnificent...the cottage is super comfortable and even in case of rain ...the decor is really nice and the kitchen very functional...Katie is lovely and the small touches on arrival were much appreciated after a long road . We hope to come back ..." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Rachel - Oct 2021
"Absolutely lovely place to stay - so cosy, so comfortable, has everything you need, and the lovely extras like cheese and wine on arrival just make it seem even more special. Amazing views, could have sat on the balcony all day. Amazing hikes straight from the chalet and a lovely local restaurant 5 mins walk away. Katie and Mark are so helpful if you need anything… can’t recommend enough!! We’ll be back!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Aleksei - Dec 2021
"The Granier is amazing little house, decorated to the highest standard, full of character, and have everything you need. Views are amazing, Morzine is 10 min away, La Coté D'Arboroz is short walk away. I really felt like home, wish I could stay for longer." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Lucille - Oct 2024
"The stay at Katie's went very well. Although absent during our check-in Katie was very available and the instructions were very clear we could not go wrong! The setting is sumptuous and peaceful, a real change of scenery. The accommodation is functional, with nice materials and extremely clean! Katie is very friendly. Recommended!!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Rosie - March 2022
"We stayed at Grenier Les Bouts in March 2022 for a ski trip in the Portes du Soleil area. The location was perfect for us, 10 min drive to the slopes at Morzine and 5 min drive to the slopes at Mount Chery (free parking). We also tried out the large free car park at Ardent to access Avoriaz (20 min drive). Mount Chery was a totally different experience for us, it felt local and off the beaten track, we loved it! The views were stunning and the slopes less busy.
The views were stunning from the top and bottom floor, both of which have access to balcony and patio. The outside areas felt private and quiet despite being in close proximity to the neighbouring holiday let and Katie’s family home. Perfect place to sit with a warm drink in the afternoon sun. There was also a ski locker which was really handy.
Inside, the Grenier was incredibly clean and well presented. The kitchen was fully equip and also had a few essentials which is always helpful.
The log burner was lovely and the place was very cozy, but in no way cramped. It was the perfect size for us. The bedroom was lovely, added extras and plush bedding made it feel like a hotel. The sun peeping it’s head up over the mountains and into the bedroom in the mornings was just glorious!
We would also recommend the local restaurant L’Rateli, just short walk down the hill. Delicious food, modestly priced and very welcoming.
Katie was a fantastic host we were made to feel very welcome. Really hoping we can make time to come back and explore the area in the summer" 28 Nov 24

"Katie is a truly wonderful host and this property is outstanding in ever way. A lovely romantic hide away in the Alps with so much to do and explore. With views to die for and cosy nights in by the fire this is a real gem. If you are a skier you have the option to start your day from multiple resorts and explore the various resorts very close by. You need a car so either drive or fly and hire; this one’s a must." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Roxane - May 2022
"Amazing host! Katie went over and above to ensure we were happy and made sure we had everything we need. Incredible views. Super cosy cabin. Highly recommend!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Hannah - June 2022
"Incredible stay! My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was the perfect couple’s getaway. We cooked in thanks to the well equipped kitchen and also ate in the town’s local restaurant which is so lovely. Views are amazing everywhere you look- photos don’t do it justice! Katie also had a plate of cheese, bread and wine for us on our arrival which was so thoughtful and delicious! Our favorite part of the stay was breakfast on the private patio in the sunshine and cosying up with a cup of coffee on the upstairs decking when it rained and thunderstormed. Katie was also extremely helpful with our requests and questions. Would recommend to any couples looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Katie - July 2022
"JUST AMAZING! We really didn’t want to leave. Better than the pictures. The two perfect outside spaces patio and balcony with forever views of the Portes du Soleil mountains. Total perfection inside and out. Katie and Mark are lovely with lots of top advice about to where to go and what to do. We really do hope to be back and enjoy in the winter too. Thank you." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Nikki - July 2022
"This place is a gem. Very lovely area, beautiful apartment and the local restaurant is extremely good too. Katie is clearly an experienced host as lots of little details covered and it was lovely she made the time to say hello when we arrived. A real find and we will no doubt be back. Thanks" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Laurence - Aug 2022
"Superb accommodation for all levels: equipment, decoration, practical...in addition to 2 terraces with a view of mountain peaks. It met our expectations. Thanks to Katie!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Jools - Nov 2022
"A wonderful spot - amazing views - gorgeous terrace - perfect !" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Andy - Dec 2022
"Amazing trip to Morzine in early December made better by the wonderful accommodation provided by Katie and Mark. Overlooking forests and mountain tops all covered by pristine white snow and warm sunshine highlighting the views for miles and miles. When your wife says, "I've found my happy place"...as in I'd like to live my days out here and have my ashes scattered on the balcony, you know you chose the right spot for your break.
The property and location were so peaceful we didn't want to disturb it with music or the TV. Instead we spent our time watching the fire dance away in front of us whilst drinking wine and reading by candlelight.
Trips out to Morzine and Les Gets were surpassed with a winding drive up the mountain through the clouds to the incredible Avoriaz ski resort where we wandered around and had lunch sat in the sunshine surrounded by snow many feet deep.
We thoroughly recommend any of Katies' properties if you plan to visit the area around Morzine. We'll be back." 28 Nov 24

"We came halfway around the world from Honolulu to the Côte d'Arbroz and could not have imagined a space more cozy, artistic, and peaceful than Grenier les Bouts. The renovation of the historic structure was brilliantly done, with attention to every detail. The views of the mountains from the balcony or the sweet, flowering garden below are simply stunning. In sum, the perfect nest for lovers of history, architecture, and nature. Thank you, Mark and Katie." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Angela - June 2023

"Katie's little cottage has been renovated with great taste and with all the comforts and amenities combined to make our stay perfect. The charming village and the view perfectly complete the picture. Communication with Katie is instant. I highly recommend his apartment." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Andrzej - March 2024
"We had a lovely time at Katie's place. It's a real find and exactly as described. The place is small (as is made clear in advance) but very cute and perfect for a couple: everything is very cleverly and sympathetically designed so that the old structure of the building is enhanced by various contemporary mod-cons. All was super clean and tidy. Katie came over and explained everything to us. We know the ski area well but she kindly made a reservation for us at the village restaurant, where we spent a lovely evening. We'd definitely stay here again if we were coming as a couple. A real find." 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Elizabeth - June 2024
"This place truly is a gem: a beautifully restored old granary with every modern amenity and a gorgeous mountain view. Sitting on the porch in adirondack chairs with a glass of wine in hand, breathing the mountain air was so restorative. Katie is the best of hosts: warm, generous, quick to respond to questions, and just a wonderful person. This was our second visit in two years and weʻre already hoping to return!" 28 Nov 24Review posted online by Christophe - Oct 2024
"The attic at the end is a cozy little nest where we would happily return. The view of the mountain is relaxing, we had a very refreshing suspended time there.
Katie had planned to heat the apartment for our arrival and a bottle of wine was waiting for us.
We recommend this place to nature lovers who love tranquility" 28 Nov 24
