Chalet Le Houx

Chalet Le Houx is a charming chalet in the heart of Meribel Les Allues. It is tucked away so its lovely and quiet but still really close to the restaurants, bars, supermarket, bus stop and bubble that get you to Meribel Chaudanne in no time at all.

This chalet has undergone a FULL RENOVATION in the Summer of 2018, There is now a lovely large master bedroom taking all of the roof space, it actaully possible to sleep a ninth person up there is a seperate area to the main bedroom. Below there are 3 further ensuite bedrooms, one double and two twins, all a good size.

The first floor is really spacious with a lovely light living / dining area with log fire, and a separate large and well appointed kitchen.

There is also a boot room with boot warmers and land also a good size clockroom for hanging coats and wet items.

 

This chalet is located very closely to x4 restaurants and x2 bars and a small supermarket, and a very short flat walk to the free ski bus and Gondolas service.


Our ‘Top Tip’  is to hire ski lockers in Meribel, the lockers are right underneath  one of the main gondolas in Meribel Chaudanne. This means in the morning you can go up to Meribel in your normal shoes, change into you ski equipment and off you go, all very easy. After skiing change back into your shoes and either go home or go for a wander around Meribel, have an apres drink, maybe go swimming or ice skating. We think this is a great option if you have children. The lockers cost 50 euros for the week  and can take 3 skis and boots per locker and 70 euros for a x4 locker The room is very well heated and there are heated boot warmers for all the boots in the lockers.

The chalet has 4 floors.

The first floor is spacious with a lovely light living / dining area with log fire, a separate large and well appointed kitchen. This main living arae has a lovely modern yet still chalet chic feel about it.

On the second floor there are 3 ensuite bedrooms, One large double ensuite and then two twin rooms both ensuite , one of the twin rooms is large enogh for another bed if there are children.

The top floor its a huge master bedrrom with ensuite facilities, there is acatually another little area up here and a futon bed, so although this chalet sleeps 8 it can do more if there are children in the group.

 

On the ground floor there is a ski arae with boot warmers and then a seperate clockroom area foor coats and wet items to dry.

 It is ideal for two families or a group of friends. Outside there is a good sized garden for children to play in or to sit out in when its sunny.  At ground level there is a large garage with space to leave your skis.

If opting to have this chalet catered then we can offer you 2 different  packages.

Firstly our premiere catered package. We have teamed up with Jerry Mant who has been running hs own chalet for the last 20 years (www.chaletbartavelle.com) He's now not running this and is offering his high end level of service in this chalet and 2 other chalets. Once booked in one of them then obviously he cannot work in the other and in that sitaution you would need to revert to the Standard package.

The catering would include:
Breakfast with hot option every day
Afternoon tea with cakes and cookies every day
Pre dinner drinks and canapes on 5 nights 
3 course dinner with wine on 5 nights
Cleaning on 5 days
Transfer to the main lift area in Meribel and a pick up service again in the afternoon every day. 
If you only actually wanted to go out on one of the nights then for a small fee we would be more than happy to provide a simple reheat meal and desert for you all.

For our standard package this would include.

Breakfast with hot option On 6 days
Afternoon tea with cakes and cookies on 6 days
3 course dinner with wine on 5 nights
