| I am looking for a ski holiday for my family at half term. We are a family of 4, I am 42 and have ski'd for the last two years so I'm still very new. My husband and children (ages 7 & 9) have not ski'd before so we are looking for a good resort for beginners. We are not bothered about night life or local restaurants etc as this trip will be all about getting the kids on the slopes for the first time and seeing if they like it.
We are thinking that 4 nights, 5 days (3 full days of ski'ing/learning) might be good for our first trip but could be open to 7 nights depending on the cost.
I have been looking at flights on either the 13th or the 20th, with a view to staying 4-5 nights.
I think we will need private lessons, as the ski schools only look to operate 5 days during the week.
I would like somewhere that is ski in/out as it's a short trip so we would like to maximise our time on the slopes. | At a glance:- Looking for a holiday

Since you are looking for a family holiday with easy skiing, how about this? We can offer you sole occupancy of our cosy, well appointed family chalet in Morgins Switzerland from 15-22 Feb for £2,700 all in (we can discuss dates).
We have 4 double rooms with 4 bathrooms (2 ensuite) and indoor parking next to the door. We have a log fire, heated boot lockers, and there is a south facing terrace, WiFi, UK satellite TV, and games.
Morgins is a pretty village in the heart of the Portes du Soleil and right on the border with France, 5 minutes drive from Chatel. We have been enjoying it for 15 years and believe you get the best of both worlds.
Skiing from the village is fantastic for all levels of ability. There is a new Gondola in the village, perfect for accessing the ski school and enjoying iconic views of the Dents du Midi. A continuous free shuttle takes you there in 2 minutes from outside the chalet, and there is a chairlift 50 metres from our back door which takes you up to the quiet slopes of Chatel on the French side. You can access everything the Portes du Soleil has to offer from the doorstep. We can also put you in touch with English instructors who are friends of ours to tailor your lessons.
We are less than a 1½ hour drive from Geneva Airport and we recommend picking up a car for easy transfers, it's also useful for grocery shopping (beyond the 2 small supermarkets in the village) and popping to Chatel.
Our guests enjoy a 20% discount on ski hire.
