I am a professional chef and own and operate my traditional Savoyard chalet in the lovely, unspoiled village of Samoëns which is about 1 hour from Geneva airport. Assistance with transfers. Parking in the chalet grounds. (Car is advisable for shopping/sightseeing). Samoëns, a 'Village Historique', is in the Giffre Valley of the Haute Savoie. The garden is equipped with BBQ, fire pit, loungers, badminton and paddling pool. To the font of the chalet we have a large drive with space for multiple vehicles. | Thank you for enquiring about Chalet Marmotte. I am very happy to tell you that the chalet is available for the week of 23rd July to 30th at a cost of £1250 for the week. The chalet is a 300m walk from the ski lift and the walk is flat. The Grand Massif is ideal for mountain biking - the ski lifts are used to take mountain bikes up the mountains for exhilarating rides down-hill. Morillon is a lovely village and the main street has everything you need: a small selection of shops (including a butchers, a patisserie, a small supermarket) a bar and a restaurant that are all walkable. There are many walks to enjoy, both on the mountains and in the valley basin following the river. Samoens is only a 5 minute drive and has a wider range of restaurants, bars, a Carrefour supermarket, fromagerie and cinema etc. It has a public open air swimming pool, cycle tracks by the river and a whole host of summer activities available including: Walking/hiking, rock climbing, white water rafting, canoeing, golf, fishing, pony trekking, swimming, paragliding, parapenting, mountain biking (bike hire available locally), ice skating (rink opposite Tourist Info. in Samoens), tennis courts at Morillon & Samoens, Indiana Parc at Samoens (adventure course incl. zip wires), archery & basketball.
