| Hi, a winter 2024 request in August'23 this is a first for me!
Looking for options on a catered chalet likely in Feb (outside of half-term holidays), walking distance to town/lifts in a probably French resort, high up, reasonably lively but doesn't have to be party central.
Must be accessible to high-altitude ski area, friendly, good food, and have outdoor hot-tub, and ideally with a view!
We are 40-50's folk coming from Scotland via Geneva, two couples, one single guy and 2 single ladies. So, 4 rooms?
Mix of skiers and boarders, and one is a first-timer, rest of us get by on favourite Reds! So a resort that isn't super-technical for the beginner but not boring for the rest!

Chalet Marie Stuart is a lovely chalet with a games room with table tennis table, a sauna and external hot tub and 7 ensuite bedrooms. It is located between the Grand Massif Express lifts and the Vercland Express. We have a flexible private transfer service to and from the lifts or apres ski.
Samoens is a great traditional village and the lively centre with its shops, bars and restaurants is around 15 minutes walk from the chalet.
Samoens is part of the Grand Massif and gives access to a great range of skiing (265km) up to 2500m height. The lift from the village takes you to 1600m where the ski schools meet and the skiing begins with links to Morillon, Les Carroz and Flaine.

Chalet Le Lievre is located in La Plagne 1800 and sleeps 12 people, it is in an ideal spot in La Plagne 1800 with great views. This is a superb location with the La Plagne 1800 with the nearest slope being less than 100m away and you can ski back to the door when conditions allow, the resort centre being 200m away and the main chairlift being only approximately 250m away. The six bedrooms are all en-suite with twin beds and we have a hot tub on the terrace outside with wonderful views over the village.

Chalet Namika is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June). We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill out after an exciting days skiing. Chalet Namika is a ski in, ski out chalet situated on the sunny slopes of Alpe d’Huez which benefits from glacier skiing. Chalet Barragiste is located on the edge of the luge track between Courchevel 1850 and Courchevel 1550 which is a gentle blue run that take you down to Courchevel Village’s lift station. Courchevel Village offers direct access to Courchevel 1850 and the Three Valleys ski area .
Chalet Barragiste comprises 5 bedrooms spread over three levels. One bedrooms has an en-suite, the remaining bedrooms offer en-suite showers and sinks, whilst sharing three toilets. When filling the whole chalet an additional beds in a the mezzanine area is also available. There is a spacious living area and separate dining room and an outdoor hot tub on a large south facing terrace.
