Hi,
we're looking for a chalet/apartment for 8 people (2 families each with 2 kids aged 8 & 10).
Budget is about £3k (we've provisionally booked a place in MdC for about that). Sunday-Sunday booking would be preferable to us and might mean we can pay a little more.
Beds/Bedrooms: (from bitter experience...)
- we're not doing sofa beds
- we're a bit flexible on bed arrangements, but we don't want all 4 kids sharing a bedroom and we'd prefer to separate the rooms by family
We're a mixed ability group of skiers & boarders so piste-wise we need accessible nursery slopes, and enough slopes to keep everyone happy. Good linkages by blue slopes and not too many drag lifts would be strongly preferred. We don't care about nightlife, but a few restaurants in stumbling distance would be good.
We'd like to be in the dolomites, but would consider other italian resorts. We've mainly been looking at Marilleva, Kronplatz, Alta Badia; but we're open to non-Dolomite resorts (e.g. sestriere or la thuile) as well as some of the slightly smaller areas - marmolada?, val gardena, alleghe...
Location - as long as theres a frequent ski bus it doesn't have to be that close, but also we don't want to be too far because it could make getting to ski school stressful in the mornings.
