| | 4 adults (two twin rooms) for the week of 3rd -10th February. We are a group of 4 men aged 60+ who have skied in Morzine/Avoriaz for many years and would like to try some other areas/countries. Skiing wise, we are looking for intermediate to good with the opportunity, weather permitting, for some off-piste. Predominantly we expect to ski red and black runs. We normally have shared catered chalets with other guests and enjoy the additional company this brings. It is good to have somewhere comfortable to sit other than bedrooms and a sauna/hot tub is always liked but not essential. Location wise, we prefer to be able to walk /ski to the lifts but have often been in chalets where they drive you to the lifts and meet you at the end of the day. We are looking for somewhere not too far from airports to provide some additional flexibility. Chalet Namika is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June). We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill out after an exciting days skiing. Chalet Namika is a ski in, ski out chalet situated on the sunny slopes of Alpe d’Huez which benefits from glacier skiing. La Bergère is located in the beautiful Val d'Anniviers in the heart of the Swiss Alps, 2 hours from Geneva Airport and easily accessible via public transport (the train journey along Lake Geneva is particularly spectacular!).
There are 220 kilometres of high, quiet slopes set against a backdrop of 4000 metre peaks. There is a fantastic selection of terrain from beginner areas to intermediate slopes and varied off piste up to 3000 metres altitude for more experienced skiers and boarders.
The chalet has been newly renovated to a very high standard, providing comfortable accommodation and wonderful mountain views. It is situated in a traditional and picturesque village 10 minutes from the slopes of Grimentz-Zinal and St Luc-Chandolin, all covered by the same ski pass. A free ski bus stops 100 metres from the chalet and we can also offer a lift to the slopes.
