| HI, I am looking for a short break just after new year.
My idea solution would be some where snowsure, within 2hr transfer of an airport and either close to the lift or with transportation to the lifts included. We also don't want to be waiting in lift queues all day!!!
Our party will be two adults and one 9 year old - so happy to have a double room if it can have an extra bed in it and its of a reasonable size.

We think Chalet Virolet and Les Gets would be perfect for you and we have availability for the dates you are looking for. We are an owner run chalet and aim to make your ski break the most comfortable and relaxing one you have ever had.
The price for 3 nights from 5th January 2017 is 400 Euros per person. This includes a daily breakfast, afternoon tea and 3 course evening meal served with wine (for 3 of your 4 nights).
You can find all of our chalet's details at www.upthealps.co.uk , but to summarise, this is a gorgeous chalet with:
• 5 ensuite bedrooms
• Indoor steam room
• Outdoor hut tub
• Log fire
• Surround Sound Movie system with DVD library
• Free wifi
There's plenty to keep everyone occupied including kids - we have lots of board games and both a Wii and Xbox with plenty of games.
Location wise, we are just 5 mins walk from the village centre with its many restaurants, bars and cafes and 10 mins (500m) walk from the main ski lift, Les Chavannes.
We can arrange shared airport transfers for you at a cost of 35 Euros per person each way. We're happy to help you arrange lift passes and we also partner with a local ski/boot hire shop to make the equipment hire process as enjoyable (and well priced) as possible for you.

Chalet del cane bianco is a luxury chalet set in the heart of the Alta Valtellina region of lombardia ITALY.
We are only 5 mins from Bormio lifts.
5 mins from oga/ s.colombano lifts and 15 mins from s.caterina lifts.
With access to 160km of piste and Italy's biggest vertical drop of 3012 to 1225 mtrs.
Chalet del cane bianco is a recently rebuilt owner run farmhouse offering 8 large comfortable bedrooms furnished to a high standard with very comfortable beds and high quality linen.
We pride our selves on offering very good home cooked food with a mixture of local mountain and Italian dishes plus free Italian wine.
The price would be €350euro per adult and €150 per child. These prices are for a very large family room.
This is for half board including free Italian wine and soft drinks with 3or4 course dinner and afternoon tea/coffee and cake/snack.

Have you considered the Grand Massif ski area. It is a hidden gem with 265kms of piste, 69 lifts, 20 green runs,65 blue runs, 50 red runs and 14 black runs with the highest altitude 2,500 metres. Something for all abilities.
We have availability for 3 of you in a large family room.
The chalet is owner run and located between 2 ski lifts. Morillon village and Les Esserts 1100.
All our bedrooms are spacious with en-suite facilities and there is a large dining room and lounge for you to enjoy after a hard day on the slopes.
The costs for adults is £75 pp/pn and £35pp/pn for your son.
This includes:-
breakfast
afternoon tea & cakes
3 course meal with wine, beer and soft drinks (6 nights)
We have plenty of room for cars if you hire a car or we can recommend a couple of good transfer companies that offer shared or private transport.
There is free wifi throughout the chalet.
