Location: Les Deux Alpes | We are looking for a couple to work with us as chalet hosts this winter season, from December 2019 to mid April 2020.
As an independent owner run chalet, we have created a chalet which we believe offers a luxury experience at an affordable price. We have great facilities which make it a fantastic option for families. Our bedrooms are all ensuite with plenty of room and hot water to go around. No mezzanines or cold showers here. Being located away from the main resort in Venosc, we truly have the authentic Alpine holiday setting.
We require one half of the couple to be an accomplished chef with prior experience of chalet or commercial catering. We have also employed keen amateur cooks who may have taken a cookery school course or can demonstrate some culinary skill. Our catering includes hot & cold breakfast options, afternoon cake, canapes and three course evening meals six days a week. Staff will also be responsible for menu creation, budgeting and a weekly shop.
Ideally the other half of the couple will have previous hospitality or housekeeping experience. What is important is that the couple support each other with both the kitchen and housekeeping elements of the role. Chalet housekeeping will include guest room cleaning, bathrooms and all communal areas. Hot tub & sauna maintenance and some laundry.
Other duties will include driving when required, snow clearing as well as help with ad hoc jobs around the chalet

My name is Howie and I am a New Zealand Citizen. I am a trained chef and have been cooking for over ten years. Seven of these years have been spent in management. I have worked in many areas of the industry ranging from hotels, catering, hosting to tours.
My partner, Trine, is a German national. She has spent the last ten years working in various fields. Majority of her career has been as a waitress, host and bartender in Gemany, Spain and Australia.
We have recently relocated from Australia to Europe to travel and work.
Trine and I both obtain international drivers licenses.
