Chalet la Sauterelle... Tignes... has en-suite 6 bedrooms and can accommodate 12 to 14 guests comfortably. There´s a lovely sauna to soothe aching limbs after a hard day enjoying the great activities the area has to offer. The chalet has an open lounge with comfortable seating for 14 guests, large picture windows with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. There´s also a open log fire just in case it's cold at night! FREE WIFI and a TV & DVD player in the lounge, an I-Pod compatible Hi-Fi, and loads of books. The dining room and fully equipped kitchen are on the first floor and there´s balcony which catches the sun here too. There´s great activity choices close to the chalet and also lots of bars, restaurants and shops within 10 minutes walk. You´ll also find a golf course, bowling, cinema, indoor leisure and wellness centre and much more. There´s a bus stop at the end of the drive which will take you in either direction and is free to hop on or off. It is a super handy way to get to the lifts of Le Lac or Val Claret in the mornings. Chalet Sophia sleeps 17, has a large hot tub on the balcony, spectacular mountain views and a traditional wooden sauna. | Dear Lorna Our chalet-hotel offers half board accommodation in snow sure Plagne 1800, part of the Paradiski area. We are next to the slopes and two chair lifts, with the ski school meeting point just across the street. Facilities include: *all ensuite rooms* two bars - Le Bobsleigh and the Skeleton with TVs and music * sauna, * lounge areas * massage room * large fitness room * pool table, children’s area * in-house ski and boot hire at best price guaranteed * ski passes can be collected on arrival if pre-booked. | Hi Lorna, One of the best places to ski in summer is Les 2 Alpes, and we are perfectly placed for this as the glacier here is the largest skiable glacier in Europe! The glacier is open in the mornings, and for the afternoon, there is a swimming pool in Venosc with a great slide, a "go-ape" adventure park, white water rafting a 5 minute drive away, and also canoeing on Bourg d'Oisans for the younger children. Of course there is plenty of cycling to do, including my favourite path along the river. We have plenty of entertainment at the chalet itself, including a cinema room with 6 recliner chairs, giant bean bags and XBox 360, an outdoor hot tub, games room with pool table and table football. There is also a drying room with heated boot warmers (which will be useful!) a sauna, and a spacious lounge with UK Sky TV and several separate seating areas. Venosc is a great mid point, as all the afternoon activities are on our doorstep, and access to the glacier is easy thanks to the gondola which runs from our village up to the main resort area, and the gondola runs from 8am to 8pm everyday in summer. In terms of rooms in the chalet, we can offer you a triple room for the children and a double for yourselves with a king sized bed - both rooms have private ensuites. We can do a deal for a week's stay, either B&B or half board, so just let us know dates once your plans take shape. For us, July 1, 2018 coincides with the Marmotte cycling sportive, so we recommend you avoid this date. Please get in touch for more information!
