the week end of the 8th , there is a ski event at val d'isère - critérium dela 1ere neige. "An unmissable event in the Alpine Skiing World Cup and a major meeting at the start of the season, Val d'Isère will bring together the best skiers on the planet for this event."
tignes and val d'ISère, share the same ski area, from the chalet easy to ski untill Val d'Isère, it could be the opportunity for you to see this event.

We could offer you sole occupancy of Chalet Genevieve in Val d'Isère from Friday, 8th or Saturday, 9th December.
You can ski to the door of the chalet, which is owner-run and situated in the exclusive La Legettaz area at the foot of the Solaise slopes. In the mornings you just need to walk 100 yards down the road before putting on your skis. All five rooms have their own facilities. There is an outdoor hot tub, large sun terrace, log fire, mini bar, boot heater, foot massager, free WIFI, indoor and outdoor parking, to say nothing of the beautiful views up the Manchet valley and over the village.
The Espace Killy has over 300km of piste to suit all abilities and the off-piste possibilities are endless. The village is at 1850m and with two glaciers, you will be assured of good snow. The après-ski entertainment is also varied and plentiful.
Included in the price are a self-service, continental breakfast (fresh bread, croissants, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit); on five evenings we serve canapés, a main course and dessert with select wines. Tea, coffee and fresh fruit are available at all times.
The living area is cleaned twice during the week. Daily cleaning of the bedrooms and bathrooms is not included but can easily be arranged.
It is a 10 minute walk across the piste into the village center or you can make use of the free bus service that drops you right outside the chalet.
The price for the chalet for the six of you for the week is 8,850 Euros.

The chalet has a large terrace overlooking the lake, with stunning views and a private jacuzzi.
The chalet is run with a chalet chef and chalet host to provide full catering for 6 days of the week (1 day off for the chalet staff).
